Shop Talk: the story behind the photos

As mentioned before, this feature is created in response to the questions and comments about our in store wall photos. Continuing on with our weekly blog feature, we bring you a little background on the behind the scenes of the photo from the snowboarder/photographer who brought us these epic photographs.

This weeks photo is of Sean Genovese doing a frontside hand-plant, near Snoqualmie in Washington . This Photo was taken by Sean Hoglin.

Sean is a local Canadian pro snowboarder who spends most of his season travelling around chasing the snow in the lower 48 (the USA) and Alaska with the Think Thank productions crew. Not only is Sean a pro snowboarder but he is a true example of a DIY (do it yourself) snowboarder, he is part owner of the aforementioned Think Thank productions with legendary northwest shredder Jesse Burtner, and part owner of the local snowboard company Dinosaurs Will Die with Jeff Keenan.

This photo was taken on a Think Thank productions film day at Snoqualmie in Washington, the interesting part about this photo is that it was also used on the cover of a japanese snowboard magazine called Snow Style. This just goes to show you that even when your fooling around and having fun, something significant can come from it.

Below is the same photo as a cover for Snowstyle a Japanese snowboard magazine

Stay tuned for next weeks featured “story behind the photo” and feel free to come in for a visit to see the photos for yourself. See you all soon!

And again, If there is any interest in purchasing a copy of any of these photos send us an email and we will put you in touch with the photographer.
